While none of the products are 100% based in a certain country. Like semiconductors are made in Taiwan, South Korean, Japan, Germany, Dubai, USA, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Displays are made in Malaysia. Discrete components are made in China and India. One can say these products are 'assembled in India'. While there are foreign companies like Xiaomi and Apple which have set up factories in India, manufacturing completely in India, the money goes outside. These brands keep the money in India. Thus, contributing to economic growth. 1. Micromax Micromax Informatics is the the largest Indian mobile manufacturing company. It was founded by Rahul Sharma in 2000 as an IT software company. It entered the mobile business in 2008. By 2010, it became one of the largest companies making low-cost phones in India and tenth largest smartphone vendor in the world. In 2014, its sales exceeded that of Samsung. It, thus, became the mobile telephone reseller to ship the most telephones in one quarter in India. 2014 proved to be a lucky year for this Indian giant. As it became the first Indian mobile company to sell in Russia. And its headquarters are located in Gurgaon, Haryana. For the year 2013, Hugh Jackman became its brand ambassador and appeared in a commercial for Canvas Turbo A250, Canvas 4 and Canvas Silver5. It was founded in 2001 by Sandeep Parasrampuria. Initially, it sounded computer mouse but gradually grew up to become one of the top Indian companies. In 2020, it won the MEA Award for Innovative Use of Ambient Media. 4. Reliance Jio Lyf Mobiles Revenue: rupees 90,287 crore It was founded by Mukesh Ambani in 2015. With its HQ in Mumbai, India. The company manufactures 4G enabled VoLTE smartphones, running on Android. In may 2016, it became the fifth largest smartphone player and the second largest LTE phone supplier in India after Samsung. They surpassed Micromax and Lenovo.
