And built their first motorcycle in 1901. During the first world war, a large number of these bikes were supplied to the British War Department and Imperial Russian Government. During Word war two, the company developed and manufactured military motorcycles. Here, the classic Royal Enfield WD/RE was developed. 2. Old Monk is Indian dark rum, launched in 1954. It is blended and aged for seven years. Known for its vanilla flavor, with an alcohol content of 42.8%, is produced in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Without advertisement, its popularity rose up through word of mouth and loyal customers. It has been the biggest Indian Made Foreign Liquor for many years. Also awarded gold medals at Monde Selections since 1982. 3. Monte Carlo Fashions Limited is a company which produces woolen and cotton garments. It was established in 1984 by Oswal Woolen Mills Limited. It has been felicitated by the International Wool Secretariat with Best Exhibited Product award and emerged number one in men’s wear category in a survey by Images-ORG-MARG. It was honored as Asia’s Best Marketing Brands by World Consulting and Research Corporation (WCRC). 4. Micromax started out as an IT software company. It quickly became famous for its mobile phones. In 2014, it surpassed Samsung by shipping maximum number of phones. Thus, becoming tenth largest smartphone vendor. Hugh Jackman even acted as a brand ambassador for this company. It also produces smartphones, laptops, consumer electronics and home appliances. The reason for its fast growth was low-cost feature phones. 5. Amrut Single Malt credited to be the world’s third best single malt is made in India. And is the first and only malt whisky to be made in India. It became famous after whisky connoisseur Jim Murray gave it 82 out of 100 in 2005 and 2010.
